| Summary, etc. | L’argumentaire des droites extrêmes remodèle le champ de l’antiparlementarisme français au crépuscule de l’affaire Dreyfus. Nonobstant une crise apparente des forces « césariennes » (bonapartistes, anciens boulangistes, nationalistes et maurrassiens), ces antiparlementaires recomposent leur protestation en formant l’avant-garde de l’opposition au gouvernement Combes constitué après les élections législatives du printemps 1902. Alors que semble écartée la violence du coup de force, leur principal mode d’action réside en la création puis la diffusion d’une représentation chargée illustrant un antiparlementarisme de circonstance, le combisme, qui fait, en miroir, du parlementarisme l’un de ses caractères génériques. En dépit de l’échec de cette stratégie protestataire, la mémoire à charge d’une Belle Époque en trompe-l’œil a capté la représentation du combisme pour en faire le parangon de l’autoritarisme démocratique. |

The unfinished recompositions of “caesarean” antiparliamentarianism at time of the “Radicalist republic” (1899-1906)The argument of the extreme rights remodels the field of French antiparliamentarianism in the twilight of the Dreyfus affair. In spite of a visible crisis of the “caesarians”, these actors recompose their protest by forming the vanguard of the oppositions to Combes government constituted after the general elections of the spring 1902. While the violence of the overthrow seems taken away, their main mean of action lies in the creation and dissemination of a charged representation which illustrates an antiparliamentarianism of circumstance, the combisme, which, in mirror, makes of parliamentarism one of its generic characters. Despite the failure of this protest strategy, memory load of a Belle Époque in sham caught representation of combisme to be the parangon of democratic authoritarianism. |
