| Summary, etc. | À première vue, l’antiparlementarisme ne se rapporte guère aux événements de mai 1968 et à l’extrême gauche. Pourtant, celle-ci a souvent exprimé son hostilité au système politique et aux délibérations parlementaires traditionnelles, jugées décalées et trompeuses par rapport aux enjeux sociaux et aux aspirations de la jeunesse. Il n’en convient pas moins de mettre en perspective les événements de mai, ainsi que des formes diffuses d’antiparlementarisme, en relativisant la part de celui, fort minoritaire, de l’extrême gauche, qui s’engage d’ailleurs par la suite à sa manière dans des luttes électorales. |

| Summary, etc. | Anti-parliamentarianism and the events of May 1968 in perspectiveAt first sight, antiparliamentarianism does not concern directly the events of May 1968 and the far left. However, this movement expressed its hostility to the political system and to the traditional parliamentary debates, because they seemed out of touch with the social issues and the wishes of the youth. Nevertheless, it is necessary to put into perspective the May events and to assess some diffuse forms of antiparliamentarianism and the attitude of a minority. Besides, the far left, a few years later, began to take part in the electoral struggle. |
