Summary, etc. | RésuméDans l’ITEP où sont rassemblés enfants et adolescents en souffrance, la violence est quotidienne. Tous les intervenants y sont confrontés et se posent des questions sur les réponses à apporter. Les psychologues participent à la réflexion pour construire et maintenir un cadre institutionnel soignant. Un dispositif de médiation, cahier et réunions, a été mis en place. Le dispositif est décrit et la production de ce dispositif est analysée sur une période de dix ans. Les enfants viennent écrire et parler, des plus jeunes aux adolescents, ils échangent avec les adultes qui s’interrogent avec eux. Les enfants investissent le cahier et la réunion et cet investissement se transmet d’année en année. La parole circule, les conflits peuvent s’élaborer. La parole ainsi partagée et respectée est un des éléments de construction du sens et de dépassement de la violence. Des vignettes cliniques illustrent le propos. |

Summary, etc. | In our school (Institut Thérapeuthique, Éducatif et Pédagogique) for children and teenagers needing special care because their behavioural problems impair socialisation and learning, violence occurs every day. All staff members have to face it and wonder about which answers should be brought. Psychologists take part in the thinking, in order to build and maintain an institutional setting aiming at providing treatment. A mediation scheme consisting in notebooks and meetings has been set up. The scheme is described and its results are analysed over a period of ten years. Children of all ages, from the youngest to the teenagers, come to write and talk, they communicate with the grown-ups who explore the problem with them. The children appropriate the notebook and the meeting and this appropriation is transmitted from year to year. Children and adults talk with one another, conflicts can be analysed, what the children have to say is shared and respected, and this is one of the elements enabling the participants to build meaning and overcome violence. Clinic cases illustrate the analysis. |
