| Summary, etc. | Cet article se propose d’étudier les effets des dispositifs mis en place par les acteurs internationaux, ici les « groupes de solidarité » de l’ONG CARE International dans le Burundi d’après-guerre civile, sur les formes de participation politique des femmes au niveau communautaire. Favorisent-ils l’ empowerment politique et social de groupes sociaux marginalisés, ici les femmes, en contexte d’après-guerre ? Je montre que les dispositifs étudiés, en organisant le regroupement des femmes et la non-mixité, créent de l’ empowerment politique sans néanmoins participer d’une transformation des structures sociales. |

| Summary, etc. | This article studies the effects of participatory devices established by international actors, in this case CARE International’s solidarity groups in Burundian postwar society, on the forms of women’s political participation at a community level. Do they foster political and social empowerment for marginalized groups—in this case, women—in postwar contexts ? I show that in organizing single-sex groups, these devices produce political empowerment without challenging social structures. |
