| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Psychiatric clinic entered since the thirties in a deep crisis, generating stagnation and decline, and then the actual regression of psychiatric knowledge at the time of DSM. This crisis has a stake: the notion of morbid entity, in other words mental insanity, therefore the organicist postulate. Organicism is the psychopathological expression of the constituent ideology of occidental modernity, the autonomy of the subject, the liberty of consciousness. As theory and praxis of the Unconscious, that is to say of actual heteronomy, psychoanalysis represents a basic objection to this device. So the Freudian clinic begins to devalue radically the psychiatric knowledge, reduced to a purely formal and superficial approach of psychopathology. But the Lacanian turn, by revaluing the subjective function of symptom as a substitute of the borromean linking of the subjective structure, introduces a new prospect, this time of a convergence of the two clinics, of which an application is proposed here through a discussion of the original clinic of serial killers. |
