| Summary, etc. | Cet article a pour objectif de faire dialoguer les travaux relatifs à la démocratie participative et délibérative avec la sociologie de la catégorisation. Il se centre sur l’étude d’espaces participatifs réunissant des groupes minorisés sur la base du genre, de l’ethnicité, de la classe ou de la sexualité. Il examine d’abord la circulation des catégorisations de minorisés entre différentes scènes et leurs usages en situation dans les espaces participatifs. Il interroge ensuite les modalités de la représentation des minorisés induites par ces catégorisations de la participation. Il s’achève par l’évocation de la nature des revendications et des publics parvenant à émerger des expériences participatives des minorisés. |

| Summary, etc. | Analyzing the social categorization of minority populationsThe purpose of this article is to bring works on participatory and deliberative democracy into dialogue with social categorization theory. It studies participatory spaces in which minority groups come together on the basis of gender, ethnicity, class, or sexuality. The article first examines the circulation of minority categorizations between different social and political scenes and how they are used in participatory spaces. It then questions the modalities of the representation of minorities generated by these categorizations of participation. It ends by evoking the nature of the claims and the populations that emerge from minority groups’ participatory experiences. |
