| Summary, etc. | Les avancées en anatomie au XVIe siècle mènent à l’inauguration du mot psychologie et grâce aux avancées en physiologie au XIXe siècle cette psychologie s’affirme comme discipline scientifique. À chaque fois, elle s’installe comme le domaine d’un reste qui échappe au biologique. Sa méthodologie est marquée de cette genèse : à la façon du modèle médical, elle s’applique à découper l’âme en fonctions et symptômes isolables, tant au niveau du traitement, spécialisé comme en médecine, qu’au niveau du diagnostic, du screening et de la prévention, ciblés sur les composantes découpées. Or, ce qui fait le succès de la médecine du corps ne pourrait structurellement que mener à faillite de celle de l’âme : le découpage s’avère le moteur d’une psychopathologisation qui, de surcroit, serait particulièrement problématique lorsqu’elle s’accompagne d’une prescription de psychotropes. De façon contre-intuitive, les avancées bouleversantes actuelles en neuro-imagerie pourraient constituer un troisième temps pour la psychologie : leur totalisation de l’image du cerveau repousse la psychologie dans ces derniers retranchements quant au questionnement sur son identité. Ceci pourrait induire un repositionnement, identifiant spécifiquement l’échelle organisationnelle pour ce qui distingue le psychologique du biologique, c’est-à-dire, le niveau du sujet plutôt que celui de la fonction, ce repositionnement permettant alors de donner au sujet et à son histoire une légitimité propre pour ce qui cause son état. |

| Summary, etc. | Advances in anatomy in the sixteenth century led to the inauguration of the word psychology and thanks to advances in physiology in the nineteenth century, psychology became a scientific discipline. Each time, psychology seems to settle as a rest domain for what escapes the biological. Its methodology is marked by this history : taking medicine as its model, psychology carves the mental into functions and reportable symptoms, both in terms of treatment, with a specialized offer as in medicine, and in terms of diagnosis, screening and prevention, focusing on isolated components. But what has made the success of somatic medicine, could lead to a structural failure for the medicine of the soul : this partialisation turns out to become the motor of a psychopa- thologisation, which becomes particularly problematic when it is accompanied by psychotropic medication. In a counterintuitive way, the current revolutionary advances in neuroimaging could constitute a third time for psychology : the exhaustiveness of the brain imagery pushes psychology in its last trenches as it comes to questioning its identity. This could induce a repositioning of the field, specifically identifying the organizational level as what distinguishes the psychological from the biological, that is to say, the level of the subject rather than the level of the function -this repositioning then granting the subject and its history a proper legitimacy as to what causes its condition. |
