| Summary, etc. | Si les contours des nouveaux modèles économiques des entreprises de presse sont largement abordés par la littérature scientifique, les conséquences différenciées de ces rationalités économiques au sein d’une même rédaction sont peu étudiées. À partir d’une enquête sur la séquence « Cities » du journal Le Monde, financée par des partenariats avec des entreprises privées, cet article se propose d’envisager les conséquences concrètes de la mise en œuvre de nouveaux dispositifs de financement de la presse sur le travail journalistique. Son principal apport est d’éclairer une tension entre la production de hiérarchies symboliques au sein de l’organisation et des stratégies d’affirmation, par des journalistes relativement marginalisés, d’une appartenance à un collectif professionnel, fondées sur la revendication de savoirs et savoir-faire communs. |

| Summary, etc. | The details of the new economic models of newspaper companies are widely discussed in the academic literature. However, the various consequences that these economic rationalities have among editorial staff working for the same newspaper are rarely addressed. Based on a case study of “Cities”, a new section of the French newspaper Le Monde financed by partnerships with private companies, this article considers the concrete consequences that introducing new funding mechanisms has on journalistic work. Its main contribution is to shed light on a tension between the production of symbolic hierarchies within the organization on the one hand, and, on the other, the strategies that relatively marginalized journalists use to assert a sense of professional collective belonging, which are based on a claim of shared knowledge and know-how. |
