| Summary, etc. | A patient presented at 16 weeks’ amenorrhea with a fetus that has deceased in utero. Although asymptomatic, she tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Placental analysis revealed the presence of small scattered foci of villitis and intervillitis with a histiolymphocytic component. This case highlights the importance of including placental analysis and performing a SARS-CoV-2 screening test in the evaluation of an in utero fetal death. |

| Summary, etc. | Une patiente se présente à 16 semaines d'aménorrhée avec un fœtus décédé in utero. Bien qu'asymptomatique, elle est testée positive au SARS-CoV-2 par PCR. L'analyse du placenta révèle la présence de petits foyers épars de villite et d'intervillite à composante histiolymphocytaire. Ce cas met en lumière l'importance d'intégrer les analyses placentaires et de réaliser un test de dépistage du SARS-CoV-2 lors de l'évaluation d'une mort fœtale in utero. |
