| Summary, etc. | Jesus wrote nothing. Except in the Temple, where, according to Jn 8:2-11, he bent down twice to write on the ground an inscription that the Gospel of John does not reveal. Following the most recent exegesis, we consider this text here from a historical point of view and also in its Gospel context, placing the episode in the overall movement of the Gospel text and taking a close look at what is at stake in the discussion on the relationship to the Law and to Moses. The same applies to the relationship between justice and mercy, of course. |

| Summary, etc. | Jesús no escribió nada. Salvo en el Templo, donde, según Jn 8,2-11, se inclinó dos veces para escribir en el suelo una inscripción que el Evangelio de Juan no revela. Siguiendo la exégesis más reciente, consideramos aquí este texto desde un punto de vista histórico y también en su contexto evangélico, situando el episodio en el movimiento global del texto evangélico y examinando de cerca lo que está en juego en la discusión sobre la relación con la Ley y con Moisés. Por supuesto, lo mismo ocurre con la relación entre justicia y misericordia. |

À la suite de l’exégèse la plus récente, on reçoit ici ce texte d’un point de vue historique et aussi dans son contexte évangélique en replaçant l’épisode dans le mouvement global du texte évangélique et en serrant de près les enjeux de la discussion sur le rapport à la Loi et à Moïse. Il en va du rapport de la justice à la miséricorde. |
