L’électorat démocrate s’est profondément modifié avec la disparition de la « classe ouvrière blanche » mais Obama risque de se heurter à un préjugé racial immesurable. Quant à McCain, qui réussit mieux dans les États démocrates, il correspond bien peu au fond de l’électorat républicain.
