Elle obtient un certain succès en Irak, mais échoue en Afghanistan. La contre-insurrection a une histoire complexe dans les rivalités entre services des armées et exige une mobilisation de moyens, surtout humains, hors de portée des guerres limitées. La sortie d’Afghanistan marquera sans doute la fin du cycle de la contre-insurrection. |

It has seen some success in Iraq, but has failed in Afghanistan. Counterinsurgency has a complex history in the rivalries between the armed services and demands a mobilization of resources, especially people, out of reach of the limited wars.
