Summary, etc. The essential oil of the aerial part of Deverra reboudii Coss. & Durieu was obtained by hydrodistillation at an average content of 0.5%, analyzed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The results show that this oil is rich in monoterpene hydrocarbons (91.41%), mainly β-pinene(37.64%),α-pinene(31.77%), limonene (7.77%)P-cymene(6.02%) and β-myrcene(4.48%). The antimicrobial activities tested on five different microorganisms indicate that the essential oil of Deverra reboudii was active against Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus and Candida albicans. This is the first report on the study of the chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of the essential oil of this species.

Summary, etc. L'huile essentielle de la partie aérienne du Deverra reboudii Coss. & Durieu, obtenue par l'hydrodistillation avec une teneur moyenne de 0,5 % par rapport à la matière sèche, a été analysée par chromatographie en phase gazeuse couplée au spectromètre de masse (GC-MS) qui montre que cette huile est riche en hydrocarbures monoterpéniques (91,41 %), dont principalement : β-pinène (37,64 %), α-pinène (31,77 %), limonène (7,77 %), p-cymène (6,02 %) et β-myrcène (4,48 %). Les activités antimicrobiennes ont fait l'objet de tests sur cinq micro-organismes différents. Elles indiquent que l'huile essentielle de Deverra reboudii était active contre Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus et Candida albicans. Il s'agit du premier rapport sur l'étude de la composition chimique et de l'activité antimicrobienne de l'huile essentielle de cette espèce.
