| Summary, etc. | In this study, we focused on the qualitative and quantitative monitoring of omega-3 content in the Portulaca oleracea L. leaves at three phenological periods. We also evaluated the antidepressant effect of Portulaca oleracea L. extract (POE) using a forced swim test, followed by an analysis of the adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). The gas chromatography/mass spectrometry analysis revealed that the levels of linolenic acid vary depending on the development of the plant and the environmental factors. We found that the vegetative stage manifests a greater richness in linolenic acid when temperatures are lower. The effect of the POE (400 mg/kg) was comparable to that of diazepam (2 mg/kg), which showed a reduction of the immobility time and the ACTH levels. This indicates that the POE could raise the depression state of the treated rats. |

| Summary, etc. | L'étude porte sur le suivi qualitatif et quantitatif des oméga-3 contenus dans les feuilles de Portulaca oleracea L. en trois périodes phénologiques. Nous avons également évalué l'effet antidépressif de l'extrait de Portulaca oleracea L. (EPO) à l'aide de la nage forcée, suivi d'une analyse de l'ACTH (adrénocorticotropine). L'analyse par CG/MS a révélé que les teneurs en acide α-linolénique varient en fonction du stade de développement et des facteurs environnementaux. C'est le stade végétatif qui manifeste une plus grande richesse en acide linolénique où les températures sont les plus basses. L'effet de l'EPO (400 mg/kg) est comparable à celui du diazépam (2 mg/kg), qui a montré une réduction du temps d'immobilité et du taux d'ACTH. Cela indiquerait que l'EPO a pu relever l'état dépressif des rats traités. |
