Summary, etc. This study investigated the total phenol content, phenolic composition, and antioxidant activities of cosmetic and alimentary argan oil extracted from fruits collected from two different regions of Algeria (Mostaganem and Tindouf). The phenolic composition of the argan oil was analyzed by HPLC and quantified by colorimetric method.Antioxidant properties were studied using DPPH and β-carotene/linoleic acid system. In total, six phenolic compounds were identified, which are hydroxytyrosol, vanillic acid, tyrosol, ferulic acid, vanillin, and syringic acid. The alimentary oil from Mostaganem exhibited the highest concentration of phenolic compounds. Each of the oils showed high antioxidant activities in the two systems studied. Alimentary oils exhibited the highest antioxidant activity. The oils from Mostaganem had the highest levels of phenolic content and antioxidant activities compared to those from the region of Tindouf. The present study confirmed that argan oil exhibited a significant antioxidant potential.

Summary, etc. Cette étude a examiné la teneur totale en phénols, la composition phénolique et l’activité antioxydante de l’huile d’argan cosmétique et alimentaire extraite de fruits collectés dans deux régions différentes d’Algérie (Mostaganem et Tindouf). La composition phénolique de l’huile d’argan a été analysée par HPLC et quantifiée par la méthode colorimétrique. Les propriétés antioxydantes ont été étudiées en utilisant la méthode du DPPH et de la β-carotène/acide linoléique. Au total, six composés phénoliques ont été identifiés, à savoir l’hydroxytyrosol, l’acide vanillique, le tyrosol, l’acide férulique, la vanilline et l’acide syringique. L’huile alimentaire de Mostaganem a présenté la plus forte concentration de composés phénoliques. Chacune des huiles a montré une activité antioxydante élevée dans les deux méthodes étudiées. Les huiles alimentaires ont montré l’activité antioxydante la plus élevée. Les huiles de Mostaganem ont présenté les niveaux les plus élevés de contenu phénolique et d’activités antioxydantes par rapport à celles de la région de Tindouf. La présente étude confirme que l’huile d’argan présente un potentiel antioxydant significatif.
