Summary, etc. | La mise en place d’ open labs dans des institutions publiques marque une rencontre paradoxale entre, d’un côté, un espace hybride et souple, et de l’autre, une bureaucratie organisationnelle. Cette rencontre tend à questionner une série de frontières entre : i) la sphère publique et marchande, ii) l’usager et le concepteur du service, iii) la prestation d’un service public et sa création. La construction de tels espaces physiques et virtuels interroge les capacités d’innovation des organisations publiques au prisme des niveaux d’implication des usagers (co-conception/contribution) et du degré d’ouverture de l’espace (ouvert/fermé). À partir d’une étude de cas multiples dans le secteur de la santé et de la culture, nous avons construit une typologie d’ open labs mettant en évidence différentes sources de transformation des organisations publiques où sont bousculés les pratiques et rôles de ses membres, en permettant l’hybridation des projets et en ouvrant les frontières des organisations en interne et en externe. © 2017 IDMP/Lavoisier SAS. Summary, etc. | Through the setting up of open labs in public institutions, a hybrid and flexible space meets paradoxically an organizational bureaucracy. This meeting challenges a series of boundaries between : i) the public and private sphere, ii) the user and the designer of the service, iii) the provision of a public service and its production. The construction of such spaces question the innovation capacities of public organizations to the prism of relations with users and the degree of openness of space. Based on a multiple case study in the health and culture sector, we have built a typology of open labs within public organizations highlighting different sources of transformation of public organizations by questioning the practices and roles of its members, allowing the hybridization of projects and opening up internal and external organizational boundaries. © 2017 IDMP/Lavoisier SAS.
