| Summary, etc. | Since 2002, hospital management reforms promote a more efficient way of managing these organizations, with the aim of considering the multi-dimensionality of performance. Literature suggests that performance in healthcare organizations, so called pluralistic, is multi-dimentional, far from a strictly economic focus. What does it mean for practitioners ? We seek to understand the way management tools can be conveyors for the spread of the institutional performance logic within healthcare organizations ? Through the analysis of internal contracts during 13 years, we show that the dimensions supported by these tools are not as multi-dimensional as the main institutional logic pretends : economic and organizational dimensions supplant social utility and employees’ satisfaction. We discuss three contributions : the spread of a poorly pluralistic performance in management tools; a coercive isomorphism in the implementation of tools; a weak legitimization of these tools. |

| Summary, etc. | Depuis 2002, les réformes du financement et des modes de gestion des hôpitaux n’ont cessé de promouvoir une gestion plus efficiente des hôpitaux, mettent en avant divers angles de performance. La littérature montre que la performance dans les organisations de soin, qualifiées de pluralistes, est multidimensionnelle, loin d’une focalisation purement économique. Qu’en est-il réellement sur le terrain ? Notre travail vise à comprendre la manière dont l’outillage de gestion constitue un vecteur de diffusion de la logique de performance institutionnelle au sein même des organisations de santé ? Au travers d’une analyse de contrats de pôle sur treize années, nous mettons en avant que les dimensions portées par ces outils sont loin d’être aussi multidimensionnelles que prévu, les dimensions économiques et organisationnelles prenant le pas sur l’utilité sociale et la satisfaction des salariés notamment. Nous discutons finalement trois éléments : la diffusion d’une performance peu plurale au sein des outils de gestion ; un isomorphisme coercitif dans la mise en œuvre de l’outillage ; un manque de légitimation de cet outillage. |
