Cette évolution sémantique traduit un changement de politique et même de vision du monde. L’Asie est désormais placée au cœur des préoccupations françaises et un accent particulier est mis sur les océans. Les îles – y compris les collectivités territoriales françaises – acquièrent une importance nouvelle. La France s’affirme comme une puissance maritime et insulaire. |
