| Summary, etc. | Des membres d'un corps administratif spécifiquement lié à la colonisation de l'Algérie, les administrateurs des services civils d'Algérie, sont détachés en métropole au cours des années 1950 pour conseiller les préfets en matière « d'affaires musulmanes » dans les régions où les Algériens immigrent en nombre important. Ces « conseillers techniques en affaires musulmanes » construisent en métropole une compétence « musulmane » par la constitution d'un réseau administratif clos sur eux-mêmes, sur ceux qu'ils recrutent à la tête des associations spécialisées dont ils animent et contrôlent le travail au contact des Algériens, et sur ces derniers. La spécificité algérienne de leur compétence est entretenue à la fois par des retours en Algérie même et par divers lieux de formation : ceux où ils sont stagiaires et ceux où, au contraire, ils sont formateurs, se voyant ainsi reconnaître une compétence pour tout ce qui touche aux Algériens, et ce, jusqu'en 1965. |

| Summary, etc. | Outlines ofan Algerian Administrative Network and Building ofa Compétence in "MuslimAffairs": the Technical Advisers in Muslism Affairs in Metropolitan France (1952-1965) Some members of an administrative body especially devoted to the colonisation in Algeria, the administrators of the civil services of Algeria, are sent in France during the 50's in order to advice the prefects in "muslim affairs" in the régions where Algerians are increasingly immi-grating. They build in metropolitan France a Muslim compétence in shaping an administrative network with themselves, those they headhunted for the specialiased associations, and the Algerians. The specificity of their algerian compétence is maintained with travels in Algeria and différent trainings: those where the advisers are trainees and those where they are tea-chers, this way being recognized as the specialists for anything dealing with Algerians, until 1965. |
