520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Parent-infant psychotherapy works a both level, intrasubjective and intersubjective. The patient is the dyad mother-baby. The analyst’s role is to help the parents to offer a transitional space to the baby where he will experience omnipotence and the separation. Playing is an essential technique, as a play with the child that will give him/her an opportunity to change his object relations, and as an introduction for the parents to a new relationship with their child. |
