| Summary, etc. | Résumé Le contexte sociétal contemporain d’incertitude et de report de responsabilité sur les individus produit structurellement un univers de vulnérabilité pour tous dans la mesure où la société n’est plus tant à concevoir comme un univers de contrôle normatif des conduites de ses membres, mais comme un contexte d’épreuves et d’évaluations permanentes auxquelles doivent faire face les individus. Cette vulnérabilité structurelle se donne socialement à voir sous la forme de blessures individuelles et se thématise sous l’angle de la souffrance sociale, illustrant les coûts, voire les échecs, à assumer les obligations sociales à être propriétaire de soi. L’appréhension politique de la souffrance sociale se fait dès lors logiquement sur la base d’une individualisation, voire d’une mentalisation des problèmes sociaux. |

| Summary, etc. | In our society, the contemporary context of uncertainty and of transfer of responsibility on the individuals structurally produces a universe of vulnerability for all since society is no longer to be considered as a universe of normative control of its members but rather as a context of constant proofs and assessments with which the individuals have to deal. This structural vulnerability socially appears under the form of individual wounds, it results in a great social suffering illustrating the costs and even the failures to assume the social obligations to be the owner of oneself. The political apprehension of the social suffering is consequently made on the ground of an individualisation or even mentalization of the social problems. |
