| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe phénomène grandissant des sans-abri parmi la population des jeunes est un problème complexe lié aux facteurs culturels, économiques et sociaux qui doivent être pris en compte tant au niveau national qu’européen. Le sans-abrisme a été décrit par la Commission européenne comme « la forme la plus extrême d’exclusion sociale et de pauvreté en Europe ». Être sans abri lors de l’entrée dans la vie adulte est une expérience en voie de développement dans les sociétés dites postmodernes. Les solidarités familiales peuvent constituer l’ultime recours, lorsque celles-ci sont compromises, la perspective de la rue devient obsédante. L’objet de cet article est de montrer modestement les initiatives prises à propos de l’accompagnement des jeunes SDF au niveau européen. |

| Summary, etc. | The rising phenomenon of homelessness among young people is a complex problem linked to cultural, economical and social factors that must be taken into account at a national as well as at a European level. Homelessness has been described by the European commission as “the most extreme form of social exclusion and poverty in Europe”. Being homeless in the beginning of adulthood is a developing experience in the so-called post-modern societies. Family solidarities can be the last resort. When these are jeopardized, the prospect of the street becomes an obsession. The aim of this article is to measure modestly the initiatives in accompanying the young homeless at a European level. |
