| Summary, etc. |

| Summary, etc. | Hypnosis and psychosomaticHypnosis and “the” psychosomatic have long been ignoring one another, although they both belong to the vast domain of the “psychocorporel”. The reasons for this mutual indifference are unclear. But one thing is sure: psychoanalysis is the common factor between these two concepts of the dynamic link body/psyche. If it is given that hypnosis gave birth to psychoanalysis, psychosomatic medicine, however, was directly inspired by psychoanalytic concepts. The double argument developed here concerns at the same time the motive for which hypnosis remains ignored by the discipline it created, and the illusory therapeutic ambition put forth by the psychosomatic approach. A third element allows further reflection: the placebo phenomenon. Situated on the borderline between the body and the psyche, this phenomenon allows for a renewal reflection from the epistomological points of view. |
