Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Urban Outsider CommunitiesObviously paperless people will prove completely absent in any data files, and therefore are hard to adress in society. In order to gain a better understanding about their whereabouts, we conducted an in-depth study involving sixty-five paperless immigrants. Surprisingly, the ones that are most integrated in society – and feel most comfortable too – are not those with the largest revenue but rather those with the largest ‘social capital’. These people meet in ‘outsider communities’ in Belgium: rather independent social communities with a high degree of solidarity. |
