| Summary, etc. | Resumé Le personnel des urgences doit aujourd’hui composer avec des conditions d’exercice de plus en plus délicates : violence, patients en détresse, manque de moyens et augmentation du nombre d’admissions sont au cœur du malaise des soignants qui subissent, notamment, les effets d’une logique de rentabilité malmenant leur valeur travail. Par ailleurs, le motif d’admission des patients aux urgences relève le plus souvent d’un traumatisme qui, par essence, peut priver le sujet de sa capacité d’élaboration. Parmi les éléments susceptibles d’améliorer le fonctionnement de ces services, offrir un espace de parole soutenu par un psychologue clinicien, tant pour les patients que pour les soignants, serait leur offrir la reconnaissance de leur souffrance psychique afin qu’ils puissent s’en départir. D’une façon générale, réduire cette souffrance à sa seule expression somatique et au traitement des dégâts corporels et de la douleur, revient à faire l’impasse sur la complexité des conduites humaines et de l’humain en général. Si l’organe et sa douleur savent se faire entendre aujourd’hui, il est également nécessaire que la vie psychique et sa souffrance le soient aussi à tout âge de la vie. |

Furthermore, the reason for admitting patients to the emergency room is often a trauma that, in essence, may deprive the subject of his thought capacities. Among the factors likely to improve the functioning of these services we emphasised the availability of a supportive-expressive group supported by a clinical psychologist for both patients and caregivers. It would help validating their psychological suffering. In general, reducing the suffering to its sole somatic expression and processing solely body damage and pain, is to ignore the complexity of human behavior and humanity in general. If the body and its pain can make themselves heard today, it is also necessary that the psychic life and the suffering are also at any time of life. |
