| Summary, etc. | Les notions d’exil et d’errance sont complexes et souvent utilisées dans un sens métaphorique. L’objectif de cet article est de clarifier ces notions, en explorant leurs usages sociologiques dans l’analyse des processus sociaux. Il s’agit d’établir leurs éventuelles similitudes et différences et d’examiner les processus qui amènent à leur superposition dans certains contextes contemporains. Nous nous intéressons notamment aux situations où des personnes en exil sont amenées à vivre des situations d’errance, et à se trouver ainsi dans des dispositifs sociaux qui n’étaient pas, en principe, prévus pour elles. |

| Summary, etc. | Exile and wanderingThe notions of exile and wandering are complex and often used in a metaphoric sense. The aim of this article is to clarify these notions, by exploring their sociological meanings in the analysis of social processes. Their similarities and differences are examined, as well as their overlapping in some contemporary contexts. We focus more particularly in those situations that lead exiles to experience wandering and to find themselves in social structures that were not really designed for them. |
