| Summary, etc. | Resumé La notion d’identification à l’agresseur paraît s’imposer avec une grande évidence dans la clinique des violences sexuelles agies par des sujets qui, enfants ou jeunes adultes, ont subi ces violences. Cet article veut engager une réflexion sur l‘usage de cette notion dans une telle population, en soulignant sa complexité. D’apparence homogène, cette notion s’est en effet développée sur le plan théorique dans deux directions relativement différentes dans la psychanalyse post-freudienne : Sandor Ferenczi décrit, le premier, une réaction primaire quasi-organique de survie, qui atomise le moi jusqu’à le faire disparaître de la personnalité, tandis que, pour Anna Freud, ce processus, beaucoup moins archaïque, apparaîtra comme le mécanisme de défense d’un moi déjà constitué, prélude à l’évolution du surmoi. L’article présente deux cas, où les violences agies ont été précédées de violences subies, le cas d’un homme qui a violé et tué une femme inconnue et celui d’un pédophile qui attouche de jeunes garçons de manière répétée. Le matériel clinique a été recueilli dans le cadre d’un questionnaire d’investigation mené en plusieurs entretiens semi-directifs par un psychologue avec ces sujets pendant leur incarcération. À travers ces deux cas, l’auteur montre comment, et dans quelles limites, ces deux conceptions de l’identification à l’agresseur très différentes peuvent contribuer à éclairer des configurations et des processus psychiques distincts, par-delà le type d’acte commis. |

| Summary, etc. | Identification of/with the aggressor in sexual offenders: between destruction and survival The notion of identification with the aggressor is outstandingly obvious in the clinical management of sexual abuse committed by offenders who have themselves been victims of the same form of violence, whether as children or young adults. This article aims at questioning the use of this notion in sexual offenders while highlighting its complexity. Apparently homogeneous, this notion has been developed from a theoretical point of view along two relatively different lines in post-Freudian authors : Sandor Ferenczi has been the first to describe an initial quasi-biological survival reaction which dismantles the ego. On the other hand, Anna Freud has considered this process as a defense mechanism of an already existing ego, which is the prelude to the development of the superego. The article presents two clinical cases in which the use of violence was preceded by inflicted violence : the case of a man who raped and killed an woman he did not know, and the case of a pedophile who repeatedly fondled young boys. The clinical data were collected using semi-structured interviews conducted by a psychologist with the incarcerated aggressors before or after their trial. In keeping with the case series, the author will show how and within which limits the two notions of identification with the aggressor can contribute to discriminate between distinct psychological organisations beyond apparently similar behaviors. |
