Summary, etc. | RésuméQu’il se déroule au sein des cours de récréation, à leur domicile ou en d’autres lieux, le jeu du foulard, jeu de non oxygénation, est l’une des nouvelles formes de conduites à risque présentées par les adolescents. Cette étude s’intéresse au caractère ordalique de ce « jeu » et aux risques d’addiction qu’il présente à partir d’un échantillon de dix collégiens reconnaissant s’y adonner, cinq garçons et cinq filles âgés de 13 à 15 ans. Elle se fonde sur un entretien directif portant sur la conscience du danger associé à ce jeu, son caractère auto-calmant, le risque perçu, l’éventuelle dépendance, l’anxiété ressentie par les joueurs, la place du corps, l’aspect renarcissisant de la conduite, etc. |

Summary, etc. | The choking game can take place at break time in the schoolyard, at the adolescent’s home or in other places. It is one of the new risky behaviors observed among teenagers. The study focused on the ordeal aspect of the “game” and the risk of becoming addicted to it. The sample included ten 13-15 year-old Secondary students (5 boys; 5girls) who admitted taking part in choking game. Data were collected using a directive interview covering several components awareness of the danger associated with the game, associated self-relaxing characteristics, risk as it is evaluated by the adolescent, possible dependence, experienced anxiety, body image and narcissistic traits |
