| Summary, etc. | À l’encontre de la Convention des Nations unies sur les droits de l’enfant, il est fréquent qu’enfants et adolescents soient utilisés dans les conflits armés. En Afrique, au Pakistan, au Népal, au Liban, en Palestine, ils sont recherchés, car faciles à soumettre aux emprises, à modeler psychiquement, en leur offrant notamment l’illusion d’un accès au statut d’adulte guerrier ou l’accession assurée au « paradis » par la voie de « shahada ». On essaiera d’évaluer quel peut être l’impact psychologique à distance, chez les survivants, et les effets sur leur développement mental, de leur enrôlement dans des bandes armées ou de leur participation à des violences parfois indicibles. On envisagera notamment les conséquences sur les plans de l’identification, de l’individuation, de la constitution des instances idéales et de l’intégration sociale. Enfin, on abordera les effets de l’exposition d’enfants à des situations traumatisantes répétées ou continues (bombardements) pendant des années. |

| Summary, etc. | Contrary to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Child, children and adolescents are frequently enlisted, literally « utilized » in armed conflicts. In Africa, in Pakistan, in Nepal, in Lebanon, in Palestine, they are searched for because they are easy to submit to ascendancy and to mould in a psychological way, by making them feel that they have got an adult status, or that they will have direct access to Paradise by the way of “Shahada”. The author tries to evaluate what can be, among survivors, the psychological impact of their enlistment in armed bands, and the effects on their mental development of their participation in acts of violence sometimes beyond any description. He considers among others the consequences on children’s and adolescents’ identification, individuation, formation of ego ideal as well as social integration. Finally, he will address the long-term effects of children’s exposure to repeated or long-lasting traumatic situations (as years lasting shelling). |
