520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | In light of two clinical vignettes, presenting patients with cancer, the author reports on the features of narcissistic protest that can be displayed in a number of cancer patients. Such protest is triggered by the fact that the patient’s life is coming to an end, while the world goes on living. The author explores the role played by a particular type of splitting, often observed in subjects suffering from cancer, resulting from the nature of the disorder itself. |
