| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente deux expériences de l’implantation et de l’évaluation du programme « Ville amie des aînés » (VADA) de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé dans deux villes de Wallonie (Belgique). La première décrivant une évaluation planifiée correspondant à un moment spécifique du projet et la seconde s’imposant pour comprendre les dysfonctionnements de celui-ci et envisager des solutions. L’évaluation participative fait partie du processus décisionnel intrinsèque de la participation citoyenne. Les effets de ce positionnement en termes éthique et méthodologique sont discutés pour tenter un regard critique sur la méthode, faire émerger les avantages et les incohérences d’une telle démarche et faire la balance entre espoirs et frustrations. |

| Summary, etc. | This article presents two experiences of the implementation and evaluation of the “Age Friendly Cities Project” of the World Health Organization in two cities of Wallonia (Belgium). The first describes a planned evaluation corresponding to a specific moment of the project and the second is essential to understand the dysfunctions of the project and consider solutions. Participatory evaluation is part of the decision-making process intrinsic to citizen participation. The effects of this positioning in ethical and methodological terms are discussed in order to attempt a critical look at the method, bring out the advantages and inconsistencies of such an approach and strike a balance between hopes and frustrations. |
