Summary, etc. | Cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche portant sur les rapports aux sciences sociales d’étudiants en formation de travail social. L’enquête s’est appuyée sur la mobilisation de deux types de matériaux empiriques : des observations réalisées dans le cadre d’enseignements en sciences sociales et des données issues d’un questionnaire distribué à des étudiants d’un institut de formation. Notre travail montre que ce qui fait prioritairement obstacle à l’accès aux savoirs produits par les sciences sociales n’est pas un quelconque désintérêt lié à l’incompréhension de l’utilité de ces savoirs, mais plutôt la difficulté à identifier où ces savoirs sont publiés, voire à distinguer clairement ce qu’est un savoir scientifique. |

Summary, etc. | This article presents the results of research examining the relationship of social work students to social sciences. The investigation was based on the mobilization of two types of empirical material: observations made in the context of teaching in the social sciences and data from a survey distributed to students of a professional institute. Our study shows that a major obstacle to access to knowledge produced by the social sciences is not any disinterest caused by the lack of understanding of the usefulness of this knowledge but the difficulty of identifying where this knowledge is published, or even to clearly distinguish what scientific knowledge is. |
