Summary, etc. Cet article met en perspective des études récentes et originales qui se réalisent à travers le monde sur les effets positifs des environnements sensoriels à l’approche Snoezelen auprès d’enfants en milieu institutionnel et hospitalier. Les enfants qui ont bénéficié de ces enveloppes thérapeutiques présentent diverses pathologies comme : déficience intellectuelle avec troubles associés, TSA. Les résultats d’une étude à l’autre ainsi que les cas cliniques sont variés, mais, pour la plupart d’entre elles, il est noté qu’une régulation émotionnelle est constatée. Il semble qu’une relation entre les stimulations sensorielles et la réduction de troubles du comportement soit établie. Dans tous les cas, l’approche Snoezelen semble favoriser la relaxation, la détente, l’apaisement psychique, tout en procurant aux enfants (avec ou sans pathologies) et à leurs proches un état de bien-être.

Summary, etc. This article puts into perspective recent and original studies that are being conducted around the world on the positive effects of sensory environments with the Snoezelen approach with children in institutional and hospital settings. The children who have benefited from these therapeutic envelopes present various pathologies such as: intellectual disability with associated disorders, ASD. The results from one study to another and clinical cases are varied, but for most of them, it is noted that an emotional regulation is observed. It seems that a relationship between sensory stimulation and the reduction of behavioral problems has been established. In all cases, the Snoezelen approach seems to promote relaxation, relaxation, psychic appeasement, while providing the children (with or without pathologies) and their relatives with a state of well-being.
