Summary, etc. | Aujourd’hui la pédopsychiatrie apparaît comme un champ d’opposition entre différents rationalismes scientifiques. S’y ajoute une défiance croissante envers la subjectivité des cliniciens et plus largement envers leur « appareil sémiologique » c’est à dire tout l’édifice institutionnel, de pratique et de pensée qui les entoure. Historiquement, cette remise en question du raisonnement médical renvoie à un débat ancien qui traverse l’ensemble de la Médecine depuis les Lumières. Pour y répondre, la pédopsychiatrie, consciente de la complexité de son objet d’intérêt – les phénomènes mentaux, le développement, la personne humaine, la société – a construit un « appareil sémiologique » susceptible d’appréhender cette complexité. Il associe éclectisme pluridisciplinaire, appréhension dynamique des trajectoires bio-psycho-sociales et soucis de la rencontre clinique. Nous articulerons ces éléments avec trois principes qui décrivent les objets complexes. |

Summary, etc. | Today, child psychiatry appears as a field of opposition between different scientific rationalisms. Added to this is a growing distrust of clinicians’ subjectivity and, more broadly, of their “semiological tools”, i.e. the whole edifice of institutions, practices and thinking surrounding them. Historically, this questioning of medical reasoning dates back to an ancient debate that has run through the entire practice of Medicine since the Age of Enlightenment. In order to address this, child psychiatry, aware of the complexity of its object of interest – mental phenomena, development, the human person, society – has constructed a “semiological tool” able to apprehend this complexity. It combines multidisciplinary eclecticism, a dynamic understanding of bio-psycho-social trajectories and an awareness of the importance of the clinical encounter. We will consider these elements in relation to three principles used to describe complex objects. |
