| Summary, etc. | L’article analyse la manière dont La République En Marche a mis en avant ou/et occulté l’étiquette de ses candidats aux élections municipales de 2020. Les candidats du parti présidentiel cherchent à occulter leur appartenance partisane, coûteuse politiquement, mais ne peuvent se soustraire à une forme de visibilité partisane. Dans la première phase de la campagne, le processus de sélection des candidats confère une forte publicité à leur affiliation politique. Faute de structures locales et pour contrôler le processus, LREM a en effet décidé de procéder à la distribution des investitures de manière très centralisée en la confiant à une commission nationale. Les candidats « marcheurs » ont par ailleurs été fortement rappelés à l’ordre de leur identité partidaire, notamment par leurs adversaires. Les candidats sont tiraillés dans leurs communes entre des injonctions et contraintes contradictoires. Entre affirmation et invisibilité partisanes, la direction nationale, tout comme les têtes de listes, cherchent ainsi à construire un optimum territorial de discrétion partisane. |

| Summary, etc. | The article analyzes the way in which La République En Marche party has emphasized or/and concealed the label of its candidates in the 2020 municipal elections. The presidential party’s candidates seek to conceal their partisan affiliation, which is politically costly, but cannot avoid a form of partisan visibility. In the first phase of the campaign, the candidate selection process gives strong publicity to their party affiliation. In the absence of local structures and in order to control the process, LREM decided to proceed with the distribution of nominations in a very centralized manner by entrusting it to a national commission. The “marching” candidates have also been strongly reminded of their party identity, especially by their opponents. The candidates are torn in their communes between contradictory injunctions and constraints. Between partisan affirmation and invisibility, the national leadership, as well as the heads of the lists, are thus seeking to build a territorial optimum of partisan discretion. |
