| Summary, etc. | The part of the Algiers Festival devoted to the cinema took place in four stages : a symposium, projection of films, discussions on the latter and round-tables. In this article, the author lists the titles of the films shawn and concludes that it is incumbent upon African film-makers to create a truly African cinema – one which makes the African reality authentic – whence the wish for a wide distribution of films that will allow the general public to see this. |
