| Summary, etc. | À partir d’entretiens avec les parties prenantes de 65 entreprises situées au Togo, nous proposons de redéfinir le concept de performance dans un contexte où la maximisation des intérêts individuels ne semble pas correspondre à la poursuite de l’intérêt général. Les entretiens font clairement ressortir une polarisation des acteurs sur leurs intérêts personnels avec une instrumentalisation de la responsabilité sociale des entreprises (RSE). Celle-ci n’est pas perçue comme un objectif en soi mais uniquement comme un moyen d’accroître les bénéfices personnels liés à l’activité de l’entreprise. Notre relecture de ces résultats suggère la nécessité de recréer le lien entre l’intérêt général et les intérêts particuliers en favorisant une représentation de la performance qui ne soit pas uniquement focalisée sur le profit mais qui prenne également en compte la contribution de l’entreprise à son environnement social et environnemental. |

| Summary, etc. | The representation of corporate performance presentation in TogoStarting from interviews with the stakeholders of 65 organizations located in Togo, we propose to redefine the concept of performance in a context where the maximization of the individual interests does not seem to correspond to the pursuit of the general interest. The interviews emphasize a polarization of the actors on their personal interests with a utilitarian use of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This one is not perceived as an objective in oneself but only as a means of increasing the personal benefits extracted from the organization. Our interpretation of these results suggests the need for recreating the link between the general interest and the private interests by supporting a representation of the performance which is not solely focused on the profit but which also takes into account the contribution of the company to the local society and the ecological environment. |
