| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’auteur cherche, à partir des théories de Stein Rokkan, à mieux appréhender une aire culturelle problématique : l’Europe du Sud. Deux angles d’attaque sont privilégiés. Il se base, d’une part, sur la carte conceptuelle de l’Europe c’est-à-dire sur un modèle macro analytique tentant de rendre compte des spécificités du processus de construction étatique. D’autre part, il l’envisage en prenant en considération le paradigme des quatre clivages fondamentaux. Le recours à ces grilles d’analyse nous offre une photographie intéressante des bouleversements ayant touché les systèmes partisans sur la longue durée. |

| Summary, etc. | Finding his starting point in the theories of Stein Rokkan, the author seeks better to conceptualize a problematic cultural area : southern Europe. In doing this, he privileges two lines of attack : On the one hand he bases his approach on a conceptual map of Europe, that is to say a model of macro-analysis that takes note of historical specificities in national state building. Later, he envisages a more general paradigm taking into account four fundamental cleavages. His use of this framework provides an interesting snapshot of the changes that have transformed partisan systems over the long term. |
