| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article analyse le résultat du référendum sur le traité constitutionnel européen en Languedoc – Roussillon. Alors que l’élite politique régionale était massivement favorable au oui, 62 % des électeurs du Languedoc-Roussillon ont voté contre le traité européen. L’ampleur de ce vote négatif, et l’évolution entre deux scrutins (référendum 1992 sur le traité de Maastricht et 2005 sur le traité constitutionnel), supposent l’examen successif des variables socio-économiques, démographiques et politiques qui contribuent à l’expliquer. |

| Summary, etc. | This article analyzes the result of the referendum about European constitutional treaty in Languedoc-Roussillon. While the regional political elite was massively favourable to the latter, 62 % of the regional citizens have voted against the European treaty. The extent of this negative vote, and the evolution between two ballots (European referendums 1992 and 2005), requires the successive assessment of the socio-economic, demographic and political variables as they contribute together to explain such a result. |
