| Summary, etc. | RésuméCe texte porte sur les récits de filiation chez les Pieds-noirs d’Algérie et sur la manière dont ils mettent en scène un rapport problématique avec un passé qui ne semble plus désormais porteur de continuité, dans le présent et dans l’avenir. Dès lors, comment les individus vont-ils construire une définition et une compréhension partagées de ce passé qui ne constitue plus, ou difficilement, une ressource identificatoire ? Les résurgences dans ces récits d’un événement à la fois individuel et collectif, l’exil, vient éclairer de manière inédite cette problématique, en présentant l’histoire des Pieds-noirs comme une double perte, engendrée par une rupture en aval – le départ des ascendants vers l’Algérie – et en amont – le départ d’Algérie de leurs descendants –. Ce faisant, ils nous renseignent sur les catégories à partir desquels les individus rencontrés ont construit les représentations internes de leur propre passé et le « tableau » réorganisé, unifié, voire simplifié, qu’en donne dans le présent la mémoire. |

| Summary, etc. | This text deals with the narrative uses and the construction of filiation among the Pieds-noirs of Algeria, also called repatriates of Algeria. I will explore how these narratives present a problematical relationship with the past, which can no longer be seen as a resource of identity. The resurgences of the exile, an event that is both individual and collective in its nature, highlight this relation, depicting the history of Pieds-noirs like a double rupture, provoked by the immigration of the ascendants to Algeria and the exile from Algeria in 1962. This allows us to grasp the categories on which the Pieds-noirs have build the internal representations of their past, unified and simplified by memories. |
