Il rappelle le nouveau mode de scrutin adopté en 2005, étudie l’organisation de l’offre électorale et analyse les résultats, la géographie et les ressorts de cette consultation. Il ressort que le vote de 2008 entraîne une nette victoire de la droite, une consolidation des deux grands partis (PDL et PD), une forte poussée de la Ligue du Nord, un écroulement de la gauche radicale, et une simplification drastique du paysage politique |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this article is to have a look at the 2008 Italian general election. It reminds which electoral system came into force in 2005. Then it considers, it studies the organization of electoral ‘supply’, it analyses the results of this election and it proposes hypothesis in order to explain it. The global outcome of this election is a clear victory of the right-wing coalition, a consolidation of the two main Italian parties (PD, PDL), a firm increase of the Northern League and a fall of the radical left, and, overall, a dramatic simplification of the Italian political landscape. |
