| Summary, etc. | Bien que cet article se compose de et s’appuie sur une recension plutôt complète des références de Freud et de Lacan sur le rêve, références dont il souligne les évolutions, son ambition est décalée par rapport à celle de Freud, qui était de fonder une interprétation probante du rêve. Cet article en effet vise à se tenir au niveau d’une question sous-jacente : en quoi consiste l’activité de rêver ? De ce décalage, il tente de s’orienter vers une solution quant à une difficulté restée sans réponse satisfaisante dans la psychanalyse, difficulté qui tourne autour du statut à donner au rêve traumatique et à la question de savoir si l’accomplissement de souhait y a sa part. |

| Summary, etc. | What is dreaming?Although this article is composed of and is based on a fairly comprehensive review of Freud and Lacan’s discussions of the dream, discussions that emphasize their respective developments of this theme, the aim is somewhat different from Freud’s endeavor to found a conclusive interpretation of dreams. Here we are concerned with an underlying question: what is the activity of dreaming? From this difference, it becomes possible to move towards a solution to this difficult question, to which psychoanalysis has not given in a satisfactory response. The difficulty concerns what status is to be accorded to traumatic dreams and the question of whether such dreams involve wish fulfillment. |

Este articulo, en efecto, tiene como objetivo ponerse a nivel de una cuestión subyacente: ¿en qué consiste la actividad de soñar?
