| Summary, etc. | Résumé Les usages de l’héroïne ont connu des bouleversements en France depuis la mise sur le marché des traitements de substitution en 1996. Ce constat a conduit à mettre en place une étude qualitative exploratoire auprès de consommateurs d’héroïne récents. Elle s’appuie sur l’analyse de quarante entretiens semi-directifs auprès d’usagers d’héroïne initiés à partir de 1996 et ayant moins de trente ans lors de cette première prise. L’héroïne est principalement utilisée comme une «solution» pour «le lendemain » d’une consommation festive de substances stimulantes ou hallucinogènes. Des usages occasionnels même réguliers peuvent être recensés, mais la majorité des personnes rencontrées a finalement perdu le contrôle de sa fréquence d’usage de l’héroïne. Les pratiques et les représentations qui ont cours dans l’espace festif techno apparaissent comme un vecteur de banalisation de l’usage d’héroïne mais les scènes ouvertes ne constituent pas un contexte propice à la consommation, car les pratiques de l’héroïne y sont mal acceptées. Cette étude permet de poser des hypothèses raisonnées sur l’évolution des usages de l’héroïne depuis 1996, et sur l’identification des facteurs sociaux et subjectifs qui favorisent sa consommation. |

| Summary, etc. | Heroin use has undergone major upheaval in France since subs~titution treatments came onto the market in 1996. This result led to the setting up of an exploratory qualitative study among recent heroin users. It is based on an analysis of forty semi-directive interviews conducted with heroin users who started using heroin from 1996 onwards and were aged under thirty the first time they took it. Heroin is principally used as a « day-after solution » following the use of stimulant or hallucinogenic substances in a party context. Occasional even regular use may be recorded, but the majority of the individuals encountered eventually lost control of the frequency of their heroin use. The practices and perceptions that are current in the techno party arena appear to be a vehicle for making heroin use more widespread, but open scenes do not constitute a favourable context for use because heroin practices are rejected in these places. This study puts forward reasoned hypotheses on the changes in heroin use since 1996, and also on the identification of the social and subjective factors which favour its use. |
