| Summary, etc. | Résumé Les processus initiatiques et de guérison traditionnels ne relèvent pas du rituel obsessionnel mais d’une mise en œuvre d’un processus symbolique, dans une séquence évolutive, de résolution de l’angoisse dans une perspective de socialisation. La symbolique de la naissance réactive également les symboliques associées du meurtre, de la violence et de l’inceste sous une forme originaire, archaïque. De l’isolement et de l’isolation ou de la somatisation, l’initié, ou le patient, passe à la réintégration du mouvement pulsion~nel et de ses représentations associées dans le corps social. C’est également un travail de transformation de l’image de soi, sous le regard de la loi (et de son ou ses dieux, référents mythiques) dans sa soumission à l’acte rituel. Sa répétition au regard du groupe, loin d’être un acte «magique » infantile ou pathologique, en sera désor~mais la marque extériorisée. Le nom et la marque sacrificiels sont liés au passage de la maladie à la santé ou de l’enfance à l’état adulte et signes de reconnaissance par le groupe par l’assujettissement à un dieu et à son mythe, en position de sujet face au manque jamais comblé. |

| Summary, etc. | Traditional initiatory and healing processes are not obsessional rites but the implementation, in evolutive sequence, of a symbolic anxiety-solving process with a view to socialising the initiate or patient. Symbolic birth also reactivates associated symbols such as murder, violence and incest under their original, archaic forms. The initiate thereby leaves seclusion, isolation or somatisa~tion and reintegrates impulses and their associated representations in the society. The process also implies transforming the patient’s self-image under the gaze of the law (and its mythically referent god or gods) by submitting to the ritual act. Implementing the rite again and again in front of the group is far from being a «magical », infantile or pathological action, it is the way in which henceforth its mark is manifested to the outside world. The sacrificial name and mark are linked to the passage from sickness to health, or from childhood to adulthood, they are also signs of recognition by the group through the submission to a god and its myth, in the position of a subject facing a never-to-be-filled want. |
