| Summary, etc. | RésuméDans les services de soins somatiques, deux cultures se télescopent au chevet du patient : le corps biologique et le corps imaginaire. Si le premier bénéficie de tous les soins, le second apparaît souvent inaudible malgré l’expression de chuchotements, cris et bruissements variés. Dans cette dynamique, l’appel lancé s’estompe, la quête identitaire se dilue, la vie psychique se perd...A travers l’exemple de la maladie cancéreuse, les auteurs développent une pratique clinique « du bord » pour laisser advenir en ces lieux de souffrance un « je » capable de perdurer à travers des capacités qui s’étriquent. L’accent est mis sur la démarche d’écoute et la technique psychothérapique spécifique que requièrent ces modalités d’interventions. |

| Summary, etc. | Two approchaes clash in medical units treating patients with somatic disorders. One relates to the biological and the other to the imaginary of the human body. The first receives all the benefits of medical care whereas the second often remains inaudible though expressed through various forms of whisperings, cries and murmurs. The dynamics here stifle the call for help, dissolve the quest for identity, and psychic life is lost.Through work with cancer patients the authors have developed a clinical approach « on the side » where the expression of personal suffering way emerge and last even as physical capacities diminish. Here the accent is laid on the capacity to listen and on the specific technique in the modalities required for this type of psychotherapeutic application. |
