| Summary, etc. | Résumé Le risque encouru par les usagers des psychodysleptiques hallucinogènes de souffrir de modifications récurrentes et/ou per~sistantes de la perception est complexe à évaluer et à expliquer. La synthèse des rares publications scientifiques concernant ce sujet permet de mieux définir la nature et la fréquence de ce trouble caractérisé comme des flashbacks de l’expérience de modification de la conscience induite par l’intoxication. Actuellement les mani~festations perceptives visuelles ont obtenu le statut de trouble spécifique et exclusif sur les bases de l’observation neurophysiolo~gique d’une modification neurobiologique imputable à l’intoxica~tion. Compte tenu des nombreuses hypothèses émises et non démon~trées sur l’étiologie psychologique et/ou neurobiologique de ce trouble, de nouvelles études expérimentales à la méthodologie rigoureuse semblent indispensables pour comprendre les modifica~tions neurobiologiques, neuropsychologiques et cognitives induites. |

| Summary, etc. | Because it is complex, the risk run by users of hallucinogenic drugs to have flashbacks and perceptive persistent disorders is hard to assess and understand. Synthesis of the rare scientific publica~tions regarding this topic allows to define more accurately the nature and frequency of these disorders, which may be characterised as flashbacks of the psychedelic experience, i.e. specific alterations of consciousness resulting from intoxication. Currently the visual perceptive persistent disorders are defined as specific and exclusive disorder based on neurophysiologic observations of a neurobiological alteration resulting from intoxication. Taking into consideration the numerous undemonstrated hypotheses advanced regarding the psychological and/or neurobiological aetiology of the said disorder, new experimental studies based on rigorous methodology seem to be needed to assess the resulting neurobiological, neuropsychological and cognitive alterations. |
