| Summary, etc. | Résumé Avant les années 1980, peu d’information qualitative sur les femmes et leur usage de drogues était disponible. Lorsque les femmes étaient prises en compte dans des recherches, elles étaient représentées comme étant de mœurs plus faciles, plus immorales, plus pathologiques et plus criminelles que les hommes. En Amérique du Nord, depuis les années 1980, la guerre contre les drogues et celle contre l’avortement et les droits des femmes en matière de reproduc~tion se sont rejointes. Après un bref historique sur la façon dont les femmes usagères de drogues étaient traitées dans le passé, cet article propose un état des lieux des lois et règlementations les concernant dans le contexte actuel de la guerre aux drogues. |

| Summary, etc. | Prior to the 1980s there was little qualitative information about women and their use of illegal drugs. When women were included in research studies, they were constructed as more immo~ral, sexually permissive, pathological, and criminal than their male counterparts. In North America since the 1980s, the war against drugs and the war on abortion and women’s reproductive rights have intersected. This paper provides a brief historical overview of the regulation of women and drugs and in the context of today’s war on drugs. |
