520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. To date, no study on the needs of caregivers of individuals with Eating Disorders (ED) and/or an addiction has been published in French. Nineteen caregivers of individuals with concurrent ED and substance use disorders (SUD) were interviewed using a semi-structured interview schedule. Interviews were audio taped, transcribed, and analyzed using a content analysis approach. Caregivers expressed three main needs: receiving more information, guidance, and social and emotional support. The results of this study highlight the importance for mental health professionals to be more sensitive to the specific needs of caregivers of individuals with ED and SUD.
