| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’auteur part de son expérience avec les petits enfants et les traitements de jeunes autistes pour évoquer « la régression ». Il s’agit d’un processus qui a un but. Ainsi le mouvement régressif ne doit pas être simplement source de satisfaction pour le « ça » mais être au service d’un « moi » naissant. « Régresser » consiste à retrouver une expérience précoce au travers de sa partielle ré-expérience. C’est cela qui va conduire à une nouvelle chance d’un développement différent.L’auteur insiste sur l’importance du bon timing : induire une dépendance dans le traitement trop rapidement risque de faire perdre la chance que se développe un processus moins répétitif. On ne renforce dans ce cas que l’armure défensive.L’auteur illustre son propos à l’aide d’un exemple. Il détaille le cheminement qu’accomplissent les soignants pour accompagner et reconnaître les besoins d’un enfant autiste. The regressive movement is not simply to be a source of satisfaction for the « Id » but there to serve a budding « Ego ». « To regress » consists of retrieving an early experience through its partial re-experience that is what will lead to a new chance to develop differently.The author insists on the importance of good timing. To induce dependency in the treatment too quickly is to run the risk of losing the opportunity to allow a less repetitive process to develop, in which case it only reinforces the defensive armor.The author illustrates his words by means of an example. He pinpoints the path caregivers follow to accompany and recognize the needs of the autistic child.
