| Summary, etc. | La confidence de soi est difficile pour Jacques Austerlitz à qui on a ravi, enfant, sa langue maternelle pour lui imposer un nouveau foyer et une culture anglophones. Mais au détour de chaque rencontre avec le narrateur du roman Austerlitz de Winfried G. Sebald (écrivain de langue allemande, 1944-2001), il se dévoile en pointillés, chaque fois dans un autre lieu, une autre ville ou un autre pays en Europe. Ces confidences à propos de son destin brisé sont faites sous forme de conversations ou de petits courriers pour dévoiler un homme à la personnalité particulière et à l’identité difficilement cernable et montrent la difficulté de l’interaction et la construction de la relation personnelle à autrui. Nous proposons une analyse de l’aspect discursif de la confidence, dans le roman très atypique du grand voyageur cultivé que fut Winfried G. Sebald. |

| Summary, etc. | Self-disclosure is difficult for Jacques Austerlitz, who as a child was despoiled of his mother language and was compelled to a new Anglophone home and culture. But occasionally at every meeting with the narrator of the novel Austerlitz written by Winfried G. Sebald (German writer, 1944-2001), he discloses himself little by little, each time on another place, in another European town or country. These confidences about his broken destiny are made of conversations or little mails to disclose a man with a particular personality and a hardly surroundable identity, and they show the difficulty of the interaction and the construction of personal relationships. We propose an analysis of the discursive aspect of the confidence in the very atypical novel of the great cultivated traveller Winfried G. Sebald. |
